Difficulties or Just Another Mountain?

Everyone comes across a very difficult situation now and then in life.

It really seems a great hurdle for us to overcome and we feel very much down and out.

But have you noticed we all hang on and continue with life and overcome that issue somewhere down the line. Later it just becomes one of those episodes to talk about or brag about if we have really pulled it off.

See life from the future perspective and you will find that all these problems are necessary for the change in our lives.

Just the way when you have to go to Interlaken from say Mysore.

There is no straight path to that place. You gotta get to Chennai or Mumbai and change a flight for a destination in Switzerland from where you may have to take another bus or a rope way to get there. Now at every juncture, you got to wait it out and it is not necessary that there may be a connecting transport immediately.

So we have to have patience and persevere to get to that heavenly place.

Similarly in life there are certain junctures when life just is a cooling off point or a layover. So don't you get heated up and loose your cool. Just hang in there and go on waiting till your bus comes in.

I shall tell you one story here about faith also.

You have heard of Draupadi and her vastraharan since childhood and how Krishna saved her.

Let me tell you that when Dushyashan was tearing off her garment and Draupadi was praying for the Lord to help her, the Lord did not appear for a very long time.

She was holding her garment with one hand and praying hard so that Dushyasan does not succeed and on the other hand she cried to Krishna for help.

Now the end of the garment came up and still the Lord was no where to be seen.

In complete surrender Draupadi gave up her hold and implored to Krishna to help with her dilemma.

The Lord suddenly appeared and then there were reams of garments to drape her. she was saved from dishonor.

Now you may ask why didn't Krishna come at the first call?

He did not appear till we are holding one end of Saree...which means let us have a 50/50 partnership between the Lord and me.

There is no partnership in prayer remember...it is complete surrender. Only 100% towards God and 0% towards me.

The Lord only helps when you have full and complete trust and faith in Him and not 50 or 60%.

Just put all your trust, matlab 100% in Him and He will do the needful.

So sometimes we need to just let it be and trust Him to get there...right to the place meant for us.Just give in your full trust and faith to Him.
