Why We Don't Know The Future!

Here are few cases where you may make your own judgement and find out if these people knew the future, what they would have done or not done! If you knew well in advance that the child that would be born to you would be a downs syndrome child or autistic, would you have even gone for a child? If you knew that the person you are marrying is a violent natured person who will one day gouge your eyes out, would you have got married? If you knew well in advance that you are going to be a cricketer instead of a scientist, would you take a PhD in Physics? If you knew that someone dear to you is about to die in a road accident would you allow that person to go out? In the same way would you invest in a market that is about to tank? We will never go close to anything where the outcome is not going to be as per our liking and we would only want that which is profitable to us. Now see the down side of it. Just imagine if that which you have to get from someone and the someone that has to give do n

All Because You Want To Get Married!

Someone came to ask me whether they should get married or not. I told them that they should but before they get into a serious relationship like marriage, they should think of all the things associated with it. Marriage is a great institution and should not be marginalized at all. Remember it is an institution for the furtherment of our race. When we get married we talk of starting a family. First there are two-husband and wife and then there are host of others which join the race. From in-laws to distant relatives and we have to pander to every ones whims and fancies. Can you imagine a father in law who is a lecherous flirt or a mother-in-law who just watches the telly all day long? She can recite the entire family serials and would be able to relate to all the characters from every different serials! A brother in law whose job is to turn up dead drunk in the middle of night. Then comes the adjustment of salaries and individual egos. Who would be cooking and when do we have dinner ou

Who Is Happy?

Sometimes we come across a situation when we cringe to be in our own shoes. We want to be like someone else since we believe that he/she is much better off than us. Take the case of an academician friend. "He has reached the zenith of education" was the take of one of my disciples. Does anyone ever reach the highest point ever? They are always short of it. I am sure this gentleman would want to win a Nobel or have a chair in the great University he went to. Next we think the other person earns more than us. Take the case of a person who earns a very big amount. After investigating it was found that he has to do that since he has an autistic child at home. The same was the case of another where they had a Downs syndrome girl at home. Sad and painful! Now would you consider being in that persons shoes even if you were given a billion Dollars? Take the case of a man who says that he is happy with his wife and the relationship he shares with her. They act like a very lovey-dovey
