Temporary Solace

Yesterday, a company executive asked me a question which is so regular with most of the newer disciples that I just felt that I should write a few lines on it.
Why am I so dissatisfied with my job and life? Why can I not find peace and happiness?
Here is my take on the above query.
When we are young we have set a goal in front of us to get to...maybe it is to be the richest person in the world, maybe to get married and settle down to a great family and start one also, maybe to become rich and famous, maybe to join politics and become the Prime Minister of India and so on.
Now as we enter our 30's or 40's we realize that all those were great dreams that we had.
The mundane life is dragging us down....grocery from the stores, school fees, relatives and friends, weekend activities, work, work and work, property matters, diseases and sicknesses, deaths in family, price rises and family budgets. You can name them all and still be so wistful that we just do not see the end to all these mundane stuff.
Now you set to wonder when it would ever come to an end or whether you can be like Warren Buffet or Bill Gates....
Hold it right there!
Is this what has dragged you down and made you look so miserable and are you looking for a change in job or career? Or is it that you have lost your will to get to your childhood dreams?
Just analyse what is it that you really want.
You will find that what you are asking for is a temporary solace and then what will happen to you? Think about it!
A rose on the bush looks so enticing and just because of the 'desire' to own it made you pluck it to smell it. Then check out what you did after that....You got temporary happiness and then moments later you forgot about it and went after another dream.
Every want and desire gives us temporary relief once we get that desire fulfilled!
You will be back to square one the moment you get back to reality.
You will again be dissatisfied and set another want on the way.
Now you really wonder what is missing from your life to attain that elusive permanent happiness and peace?
The job of a spiritualist is to make you understand the uncertainty of life and its constant desires. He makes you think through this temporary phases and look at the real and permanent. No temporary dispassion or detachment but complete immunity to all that makes you feel bad or feel good about life.He shows you how to get over your dissatisfaction and disenchantment's of life.
He makes you search for questions that disturbs you.
He is the one who has all the answers to all your questions and these are not just verbal but those that will lead you to an experience of that real happiness and peace.
The spiritualist works through your mind and takes you far beyond it.
Only when you have an experience of this permanent state of bliss that can make you truly happy and peaceful.
I sincerely hope you find such a person who can take you there!
