Where Love Has Gone?

When a child is born, the mother takes care of the child but as the child grows up he moves about in the world with hardly any thought of the mother. He then gathers other attachments and looses the ones he had before. Just the way we discard the clothes which are worn out or that we have outgrown. Such is the frailty of relationships in life.

We loose a lot of friends and relatives in life. They later only become our past acquaintances which we may see sometimes in real or virtual life. But our bonding has deteriorated far beyond repair so we just say hello and move on.

God is our father whom we tend to forget once we have a body and later we move on with our stronger relationship with our parents, school friends, then it is collage mates, then girl friends or boy friends, spouses and kids and then grand children and so on. Our business and other relationships also exist. Once old age starts up and we feel the need for some solace we again move towards this once forgotten friend called God. Earlier it was all about material and other acquisitions and now it is about finding esoteric subjects called peace, happiness, bliss, tranquility and spiritual high.

The stuff we thought was supposed to give us all that seems like a far away dream.

Money which made up of our major part of life is useless since it gives us more pain than happiness. House or home eats up our life having sweated the entire time making that sweet home. Relationships which we nurtured in our entire life at one point seem very fruitless to us. The same love that we found in our lovers has disappeared and only apathy and hatred is found. The bitterness grows in us terribly as we progress in life. The things most dear to us are causing us misery. The children we brought up are the cause of anxiety and unhappiness to us. The husband we married is hardly ever around for comfort and love. The wife we married has lost her beauty and shape, is more involved in material and relative pursuits. Her focus is more on security and kids. The friends are more focused on making it big in the world. The team members of our fraternity are more into getting elected to greater posts. The same stuff which gave us pleasure now gives us hyper tension and diabetes. The same body parts we loved so much are full of cancer cells or deteriorating at a faster pace.

So I am sure you have now got the idea that everything in this world is transitory and going towards doom and destruction.

Since we know how frail is life and have very little idea about its durability, isn't it time we thought about the one who gave us birth and nurtured us all this life should be made a friend right here right now? God the ever compassionate one never even uttered one word when you started to love his creation and material stuff in your life instead he gave you more and more and you got completely lost in it.

Now is the time to wake up and feel oneness with Him and make Him a friend forever and never leave His side. He is the giver and the greatest love of our life.

I hope you understood how silly we have been and get back our friendship with the ever loving God. Our father, mother, friend and companion...nay our own self!
