Fear & God

When we were small our parents told us not to do certain things otherwise the ghost/devil will come and take us. We obeyed our parents because we were afraid.
We never entered a room since the devil lived there. Even darkness troubled us so we never dared step out in the dark. At school the tall and hefty boy in class teased you but you dare not tell the teacher about him since you were afraid of being trashed by him.
At school and college we were always afraid of getting less marks and loosing the ranks.
When we went to work we were always afraid of loosing the job or our position to a newer recruit. We looked forward to our annual leave but were afraid that some last moment work will hold us up. Also when it was time for annual appraisal we were in the best of behavior and pandered to our bosses. Now as we look at our family in progression we are always thinking about the mortgages and monthly installments. Then it is about our children and spouses too. Can we provide for them in the future and will I have a good retired life? We always are afraid and so we take out the insurance policies, look forward to our annual goals and invest for a better future.
At the time of our retirement also we are worried about the super annuation benefits that may not match up to our basic requirements. When we come into some monies or properties too we are afraid that our next to kin will sue us or take it away.
We are afraid of death and old age too. Wondering if we would die a swift death or would it be painful one? If we would end up having cancer or some other deadly disease. Would we meet up with some deforming accident or would our kids get kidnapped or raped? Even the politician is afraid of loosing his seat and his chair. The film star also is worried of the trp and other ratings. The companies are fearful of competition and someone taking the thunder away. The nations are constantly alert of someone bombing them or some terrorist threatening them.
Here we can see that the whole world is driven by fear and is afraid of stepping out and having faith in anything at all. The fear drives us to doing that in which we can feel secure. We just want to protect ourselves from all sorts of falls, pitfalls, disasters, events, eventualities, disturbances, upheavals and so on.
But here let me tell you something strange-whatever you try to avoid or secure yourself against, that is bound to happen and disrupt your life.
If you secure against your impending retirement and take out the best policy then be rest assured that some one will surely take your security away. Maybe your daughter may ask you for a loan for her house, which you know for sure will never get returned. Or if you take the best wealth management company still you will find that the company runs away with your funds or folds up with your funds disappearing suddenly. The best of companies suddenly fall ill, the best of nations and the highest security is breached too. The tallest buildings fall, the fanciest of heroines flop, the mightiest of nations become poorest and that which you so much believed would last forever doesn't even last the next decade.
So what gives us that idea that we can survive the toughest of securities or policies?
Some negative elements will finally get to us. The Somalian pirates, the world economy, the seditious people, the army, the drug trade, the sudden inflation, the comet crashing, the aliens arrival or whatever.
So what makes you think that you will be secure forever?
Just know that even those who provide security fall some day.
Take the case of the one who provided security to our past prime minister was responsible for her death. Or assassination of the father of the nation, untimely death of your son or any such disaster which you might have never even envisaged will strike you down.
That which makes this life so fragile is also that which makes it sturdy.
Faith or lack of it. Have faith that nothing will ever go wrong and that everything is alright and perfect in its place in this God's creation.
You and I do not run this universe so we are always afraid of everything but put your 100% faith in that God and let Him do what is correct for us.
He is 100% perfect and correct and He writes the destiny so let us hope for the best.
He is the script writer and we are just actors on the stage of life enacting the roles He has given us. All those others are just fellow actors who are also doing their parts so why be afraid of anything at all. Those we think of as our near and dear ones are actually our fellow actors on this world stage. There are no relatives or friends, just another fellow actor who is performing his role to the best of his ability.
Let us do our roles to the T and be the best actors in the game.
Let us win that Oscar for best acting from the academy of the Lord.
Just have firm faith in Him and fear not anything at all. Be secure in His arms only.
