Time For Everything Except God!

Today I was expounding a doha of Kabir wherein he talks about how we spend time doing all mundane stuff in our life and we hardly have any time for God. The reference was to how we need to give time to our Master who will take us towards God. We always seem to find shortage of time when it is a matter of listening to satsangs or discourses on God.
We occupy our entire life towards living to the fullest in worldly sense. Our family, job, friends, parties, lunches, movies, picnics, outings, illnesses, hospitals, births and deaths, marriages and ceremonies, television and music, beaches and parks, family and friends holidays, games and matches...can I go on more enough....these and many more occupy our time of life. The major part is earning a living and studies for students and sleeping and resting take up the chunk of life!
Kabir mentioned how we procrastinate even the smallest act of prayer and thinking of God.
Tell me in all your life you have given time to sleep, rest, daily toilet and every other act whereas why is it you have thrown God away even from our thoughts?
The question asked by my disciple was why is Guru important for that?
Guru is called sakshat Parabrahman and He is the representative of God Himself.
Let us understand how he takes us there.
Let us consider Him as the King of this country. Can you sit on His throne or have lunch with Him without His express permission? You can enter the kitchen or see the throne but you can never partake of food with him or sit on the throne without Him saying so.
If He allows you to sit near Him then your life is worth it otherwise it is worthless.
You will be coming and going constantly in this creation again and again.
He grants you that freedom from birth and death and takes you towards God realization.
You may read up on all books and Google all answers too yet it will be impossible to reach the Self. You may even do dhyana and pooja, meditation or pilgrimages, extreme tapascharya or hatha yoga, kriya or whatever...yet to reach God will be impossible. You need the express permission of your Guru or Master to enter the portals of the Self or God's Inner Sanctum Sanctorum. The shabd is itself no passport to reaching Self. The Shabd is the Master Itself. His Inner Abode yet without His grace nothing will be gained by you!
First He teaches you sadhana by means of which you can reach the Self. He tells you about Dhyana and Japa. You reach the state of meditation and become one with the Word and the object of worship. Thereafter you slip in and out of Samadhi. You have reached there, yet you may not know about it. If you say you have reached, know that you haven't. If you have then you are not even aware of it.
Keeping faith in your Master and following His diktats is very important. Complete surrender to your Master will help you make it through this mundane existence.
So do not say you have no time for reaching God through His representative called the Master.
Kabir ends the Doha with an advice to you...give yourself up completely(Surrender) to your Master to reach God
