Ego And Self Esteem

I am sure you have asked me the explanation from the spiritual point of view so my answer for the above topic of ego and self esteem is given below.
The ego arises with the creation in the realm of Maya.
The body considers itself as the container of that super consciousness and the various tatwas in the creation covered by the Gunas(satva, rajas and tamas).
This ego makes us think that we are the ones who run the house which we live in.
This false belief of importance given to that destructive principle is called ego.
The ego is very fragile and goes bloated or diminished with the praise or the reprimand.
Whereas the self esteem is the value we place for that ego in our own self.
It is the estimation of what we are worth in the eyes of this false principle called ego.
When we are humiliated by someone we feel our own estimation pitted against that yard stick which we have falsely created about our worth.
Both these principles are worthless in the spiritual realm since they both point towards the importance we give to the body and its worth.
In essence both are very important for us to survive in the world of material importance.
But we need to decimate the ego and the self esteem in the spiritual since we do not give undue importance to both. They are co-dependent on each other but the worldly think otherwise.
When we consider that whatever happening in this world is being driven by that powerful force called God then we are just tools in the hands of that almighty. We just have to be a simple machine and the Lord its operator.
Then the way we need to act is also attributed to that great One. We just become marionettes or puppets in the hand of that great puppeteer. He does all that is required and we do not have any say.
Even the self esteem does not remain in the person. No sign of ego too.
The question of self esteem comes when we consider that we are worth something but now when we know that even this body is not worth what we estimate then we just have to follow the diktats of the great God.
When Draupadi was being humiliated she considered the worth of being a queen to the Pandavas which was being destroyed and then the worth of that body which is so beautiful being paraded naked in front of all, hence she called out to Krishna. Her self esteem and then finally the ego was being destroyed.
The ego which laughed at Duryodhan of Draupadi and Duryodhans ego which was found floating in the wonderful pool created by the master builder in that illusory place. Since both met its match, they were reduced to naught. But the underlying principle is that both are false.
To reach God we should always remove our footwear outside which is to not bring the ego in presence of God and His representatives.
