Test that One also

When I say test that one also, I really mean that you should test out anything or for that matter everything in life before we commit to it.
Take the case of the daily milk we consume...I have myself tested out so many brands before I zeroed on to the Slim Milk brand which is healthy and gives a good taste.Has lesser contents of dissolved fats and can be drunk straight from the pack if need be.
Now here I will talk about the Guru's we come across in our daily life.
Have you tested Him out or are you just being a foolish follower and listen to that teachings He dishes out to the hoards of His followers?
You can read a book by BVK Iyengar or any other Yoga exponent and do the yogic exercises and achieve that 'high' if you wish to. If you really crave for a high you can get it by doing drugs or having booze!! And if you care for ecstasy then you can get it by sex also.
Then what exactly are you getting from that dude?
You are surely joining His classes for some benefits, right?
You test out every damn thing in your life before you get into it so why are you following that guy like the rats of Hamelin?You think He is a Pied Piper or a flutist?
To test out someone would mean to first study the methods and understand some things and have a test drive so that you are confident that He is the right one for you.
So go ahead and test Him out before you commit yourself to Him!
Get an experience and get fully satisfied before you become His pupil.
Even Ramkrishna Paramhansa asked Swami Vivekananda to test Him out before He came to be His pupil.
Likewise I tested my Guru for who He is and got a wonderful experience before I became His pupil.
So go ahead and test Him out and become His student only after you are fully satisfied otherwise you will become disillusioned before you say Hare Krsna!
So all those who get that social high on attending the weekend classes take note-please know the Guru before you take Him on otherwise you would not only loose your $100 and your peace of mind but also you will be misled!
BTW have you met that dude and discussed any topic in detail with Him?
Oh, okay, He lives in the faraway place and you only see Him on TV and you have never met him in your life ever!!!Tssk,tssk, sad!!

Success & Failure

Yesterday one of my disciples came and asked me to say some words for her future. She was celebrating her 20th birthday. Though I speak on spiritual I told her that I will talk about her career and other such opportunities. I asked her what she would like to do after she completes her studies and the answer was-I don't know! I told her that it is useless playing football without the goal posts and opponents, so she better have a goal in life. Torito De Pucara in Peru

And we believe that Indians are the only ones who are very superstitious...here are two examples of roof tops of houses in Ollantaytambo, Peru. These are symbols put up atop houses and are called Torito de Pucara. Two bulls, a Cross, A cock, Jugs, flowers, bottle of wine, etc. These are symbols of fertility, prosperity and wealth.
