Primer in Spiritual

The question which troubles everyone-what can we call as the primer or First Book of the spiritual?
Some call it the Bible,the Koran,Bhagvad Gita and so on.
Most of us have some of these great books at home and we haven't touched them except for a cursory glance or occasional read in leisure.
They haven't made sense to us at all except when someone quotes them to us.
Maybe at church,masjid or temples or when we have some poojas at home.
Whatever the case might be the deeper meanings of these ancient texts have not percolated much in us.
But the question would arise-why should we read them in detail at all now?
There is a time and space when we have to read that you would say! Maybe when I get older and have nothing much to do....
So do you think that you will have time then or do you think you will survive till ripe old age and then have the stamina to read?
Everyday we are going closer to death and we procrastinate and never get to doing anything at all about it!
But what is the need to do that now?
Let me give you an idea.
It is believed we have about 84 million lives to lead if you follow the Hindu path!
It is not necessary that we will be born as humans at all! We can be born as animals,birds or insects. Why eliminate trees or other inanimate objects also?
When do we get a chance to get to these texts so that we understand them?
The need to understand them is to get liberation from rebirths!
So this is the time and space-here and now to do what is required so that we can start on our journey towards liberation!
Just the way we read A,B,C,D and so on.....
Someday we shall go to the teacher who will then teach us in detail.
Till then we can practice reading with our parents or older siblings. Just the way they taught us when we were very small and not ready to go to school.
So start reading and ask for guidance from the elders at home first.
Later on you will find some Guru who would lead you through the task.
But you will still have to give tests and examinations and pass in them in this journey of life...
So why not make a start with some primer?
Just pick up the Bible or the Gita and start reading and ask for help from your elders if you are stuck!

Very nicely put, I'm sure this will help many to follow a proper track and not get lost. For me especially Krsna's teachings, principals & path have brought a lot of clarity.In the material world, the spiritual world has guided me & helped me keep my sanity in insane situations also. I take this oppurtunity to thank my Guru for the same

Success & Failure

Yesterday one of my disciples came and asked me to say some words for her future. She was celebrating her 20th birthday. Though I speak on spiritual I told her that I will talk about her career and other such opportunities. I asked her what she would like to do after she completes her studies and the answer was-I don't know! I told her that it is useless playing football without the goal posts and opponents, so she better have a goal in life. The next was whom would she like to emulate in material worldly success and the immediate answer was Mark Zukerberg, Bill Gates, Mittal and the like! They are highly successful people in this world. Torito De Pucara in Peru

And we believe that Indians are the only ones who are very superstitious...here are two examples of roof tops of houses in Ollantaytambo, Peru. These are symbols put up atop houses and are called Torito de Pucara. Two bulls, a Cross, A cock, Jugs, flowers, bottle of wine, etc. These are symbols of fertility, prosperity and wealth.
