Divine & Human Love
This question was asked by one of my disciples as to what kind of love is divine?
Now let us see how human love looks like and then let us know divine love.
When a man loves a woman, it always starts with the look and some sort of human communications. The type which can be expressed in the form of words or actions. There would be a load of messages in the form of letters, sms', chat, words spoken in the phone and the like. There would be exchange of mails, gifts, meetings at odd places like the coffee shop, malls, railway stations, airports, buses, roadsides, gardens, homes, terraces and some such places. The need for physical touch rises as the love gathers momentum. The two parties need the physical aspect of expressions also. They resort to petting, hugging, kisses and love making also.
The loves seems to grow with time and after the physical consumation it seems to double if the act is very good and there is a need for further exploration. The wants keep on growing by age and time. The final consumation would be marriage. Then the whole bubble bursts and the travails of marital life seems to make that love dwindle. The resurgence would be in the form of further supposed strengetening with the arrival of a child. But does it grow or does it start petering off?
The attentions gets divided with the arrival of a newer entity and then the form of householders life gets to both the erstwhile lovers. The human tendency of getting away to some far away destination called a dream holiday becomes a usual nightmare where both sit nursing their own bottles or get busy with games or the pools leering at other pastures. I can go on talking and you will be busy making your own judgements about marriage. I am not condemning the institution of marriage but we should get back to the topic again.

In divine love the need for expression comes in the form of extreme emotions where the lover cries for no rhyme or reason, horripilations come up on your body hair, you feel like dancing and crying, your voice chokes and you experience a disconnect with the world. Your life has no meaning and you constantly think of that One only even when you are asleep. You have weird experiences from a world which you have no clue about. You get messages and signals from some faraway places. The divine calls out to you constantly. You start to search for the answers which have no logical explanations. You want to be lost or go away someplace far away. You want peace and quiet and do not want to meet any human being. Your quest takes you to some spiritual beings and if you do not get answers from them then you feel cheated. There is constant throbbing in your chest and the back. some sort of physical form of madness happens to us. We see light and some see divine beings at all times. The need for merging happens to be far beyond expression. But where to is the most difficult thing to answer. You listen to songs and divine music or something which constantly reminds you of that. You want to visit holy places and do not want to mingle with people of other kind which are materialistic in nature. There are many more such things which can point towards this divine love. Have you experienced the above or is it the human kind? To know just believe that there is no culmination of divine love. Only a feeling of wanting and the feeling of emptiness and constant pain. You may die in divine love yet there will be no fulfillment of any kind.
