Pitfalls of Procrastination.

Have you heard people say-'I just do what the Lord tells me to do'...and just do what they think is right and not what the God wants!
Take the case of Arjun and Sri Krsna standing in the battle field and Krsna is telling him to lift his bow and arrow and shoot and the poor guy is worried that he is going to kill his relatives and friends. He does not have the guts to do the Lords bidding since he thinks that it is wrong.
Do you see how the small ego comes in the way?
Krsna then tells him that he has anyway destined those poor blokes death, so whether Arjun kills that guy or not Krsna will have him killed. So either Arjun does his bidding or suffer the consequences.
He does not explain what would otherwise happen to Arjun for disobeying.
Let me tell you how it works.
If Arjun refuses to kill the bloke in front of him, the guys death is anyway destined so he will die by some other method or person's arrow. But Arjun, whose arrow was supposed to kill him will falter in fulfilling destiny. Well, it only gets postponed till the two meet in some other life. Now just imagine in which lives of theirs would they be face to face in a million years? The opportunity lost once is very difficult to find once again. Now you may ask why does he have to kill that dude?
The laws of Karma are in effect operational here....maybe in some life of the dudes, he must have done the other to death in the same way. So this time round it would have been an equalizer but Arjun exercises his options and refuses to do his job. Now what is his Supreme Friend supposed to do? Hence Krsna goads Arjun to lift his bow and arrow and shoot.
In our life also we come across such circumstances when we refuse to do our destined duty and then suffer the demerits associated with procrastination.
So why not do what is required, even if it means that you have to lift your as.. and shoot that beggar.
So do not procrastinate for you know not when the next opportunity will come your way.
So go ahead and do it man!!Right here, right now!
