In a dog-eat-dog world, we forget being a playful puppy and become a vicious, rabid dog. Can we not remain our cuddly loving self?

Yesterday one of my disciples came and asked me to say some words for her future. She was celebrating her 20th birthday. Though I speak on spiritual I told her that I will talk about her career and other such opportunities. I Don't Like What You Do!

I was very surprised to see this comment in my inbox yesterday and it was written by one of my dearest friends. He said that he did not like what I do! In spiritual! So why did I join the spiritual bandwagon and what is it that makes me write such stuff on this topic? He truly seemed flabbergasted and wanted to know the whys and the wherefores of it! Spiritual does not happen to a person the way you may get married or pass your school or college. It is mentioned in the holy texts that urge and desire to know God or Self comes about very rarely. Every individual knows about God from his own parents or relatives or friends. His knowledge is as trivial as theirs. None of these are qualified to talk about God. Since no one has seen or experienced Him, how can anyone talk about Him? The knowledge that they profess to have is as trivial as their forefathers since neither of them have experienced Him ever. Should You Celebrate?

I came across a blog where the lady asked why do we have to celebrate some festival or the other? First of all the reason why we should celebrate is not for our own sake but for the reason the day is there. We celebrate Independence day because we got that, Gandhi jayanti for the Great Persona's day, Diwali for defeat of evil, Xmas for the birth of Jesus and so on. Similarly we celebrate our own birthday and anniversaries too, even the day we met our s/o's .The celebrations have nothing to do with the festivities but we adapt according to the ways of the world. There was no loud music earlier but music like shehnai and dholaks were played. The elders were respected and bowed down to. There were hardly any fireworks but now there are and we light fireworks. Can we tell the Chinese not to light then during their festivities? Or the special playfulness at Halloween?
