Vikalpa or Nirvikalpa

The meaning of these two words are slightly difficult to understand but I will try to explain to you here.Vikalpa means 'thought constructs' and nirvikalpa means without any thoughts or thought constructs.
Now why do I have to talk to you about these vague words and write a blog on these?
Those in the material world have to always work with the thoughts.
They emanate from a plane which is far beyond our ken and understanding.
When thoughts emerge from our being they go towards the mind.
The mind then uses the intellect along with the memory and past experiences to construct situations and find solutions to problems which are raised by these thoughts.
Let me show you how it happens.
Let us say a thought enters our being which says that I need a cup of tea.
The next step is to see if all items are available to make a cup of tea.
Now we will bank on the memory to make the best cup of tea possible.I will then use the implements to brew it in a vessel and strain it and drink it to finally satisfy the thought which occurred to me.
Now do you see how the thought which arose in your being got to the culmination and satisfaction of your being. You thought of a cup of tea and then quenched your desire and drank it.
These are desires of the worldly plane and they need to be satisfied otherwise we will be thoroughly dis-satisfied.This process is called Vikalpa-Sankalpa and then satisfaction.
Now we come to a zone which is far away from all these worldly desires.
This is the spiritual plane where we DO NOT allow any thoughts to appear in the mind and we make the mind devoid of any such thought constructs.
This is called Nirvikalpa-without any thought constructs.
The one who is able to wash off all such thoughts in the being reach a state of mind which is called Nirvikalpa samadhi.
The state is very tranquil and silent and is devoid of any disturbances.
The Nirvikalpa state is One with the Lord or if you do not believe in Him then it is One with the true Self. This Self is all effulgent and shining with absolute knowledge and is resplendent and all too powerful.
In the quest for the Supreme we should attain this state of Nirvikalpa and be blissful.
But remember this state does not remain all through out since we are born humans and can never destroy the attachment with this body.
So if you wish to achieve any material success in life then always allow the thoughts to come and then let your mind with the intellect come to a proper conclusion and work towards achieving the goals.
In the spiritual planes the goal is to achieve the state of Nirvikalpa samadhi only.
