The Story Of A Passport

This is the story of a passport. She was kicked, punched, mauled and bruised. She took all the abuses and never budged from being a dutiful wife.  She knew he loved her way beyond anything. She was aware he had a wild temper. He forgot what he was doing when he became violent.  Then one day, her daughter came in the middle. Instead of her getting hit by him, the daughter was hit very badly. She had a cut under her eye. She had to be taken to the hospital urgently. There were six stitches put under her eye.  That was the trigger which set off a chain reaction. She walked out of the house, never to return again. Her daughter was hurt. She did not mind if he beat her, but her daughter....?  When she left from that house, she took away the most important documents of his. The passport with the stamped US visa, his identification card, documents which were of extreme importance.  He came many times to beg from her. But she was adamant. She wanted him to burn and feel...

Invest Time In Spiritual.

Why should someone invest time in spiritual? Does anyone get anything constructive out of it? Are there any benefits or gains to be measured by following spiritualism? Since there aren't any tangible benefits associated with spiritual, why would the material man follow it?  If spiritual is connected to God or some such esoteric being whom no one has ever seen or heard, then how could there be any need for getting into it? Science or arts or for that matter any material worldly activity attracts gains or losses, then if this spiritual doesn't even guarantee anything why should anyone be interested in it?  I can tell you with confidence that certain kinds of spiritual activities have a great amount of profits attached to it. Normal gullible human beings are easily  trapped by crooked so called spiritual exponents by selling strange remedies or solutions. By creating an illusion like the snake of Moses or the ash from thin air, these fake spiritualists entrap weak humans....

Sabh Kuch Chalta Hai?

Sabh kuch chalta hai, in India! Why does India not feel the pinch when the whole world is crashing around them? Why does a person agree to stupid demands in India even when he knows that they are silly and worthless? Why does an Indian agree to someone who has cheated him and let him go even if he knows what the other person has done?  We in India have a very peculiar attitude called chalta hai. We also have another characteristic within us and that's called tolerance. We tolerate everything in our lives.  Look at the dirt on the roads or dug up roads. We do not bother much even after there are huge potholes in them. The road hasn't see any tar or cement for years and still we do not seem to mind.  The man beats up his wife and kids and comes home dead drunk and we do not mind. We see the usual names of people who haven't paid taxes or society charges posted on notice board and these are the same people who don't mind. They continue not to pay them while others do it di...

Power Of Addiction

How deep could the power of addiction go? To what extent does man fall down to addiction? What depths does a human being plumb in real life due to addiction?   When one peg of liquor is insufficient for the man to give him that kick, he takes more and then more. Such is lust and greed in the world. It grows exponentially. A man is never satisfied by one and he runs after many. Likewise here I am going to tell you how people loose their sanity by experimenting more and more.  Children in India are using the whiting liquid for the purpose of inhalation to get a very great kick in life. They get high on the fumes of the ingredients of this erasing fluid. Similarly there is a white adhesive which is used in carpentry and both these contain a dangerous liquid called toluene which when inhaled causes hallucinations.  On the other side of the world there are people who buy additives like peppermint or vanilla extract which is freely available in super markets to drink it. Why do...

You Are Grounded!

You are grounded and I will take your phone away. In the USA you hear such words and wonder if that's what you call punishment or reprimand for doing some nasty stuff. The child is subjected to this kind of punishment for disobedience.  There are states where you as a parent might have to punish your child but could get caught in legal action if you were to spank your kids. Is it strange or is it downright stupid? Let's check it out here now.  The carrot and the stick method has been around since time immemorial. Numerous studies could never conclude which method is perfect. You have seen circus animals or some other on videos being given treats for performing some simple tasks and we treat our children that way. Do you believe they can be bribed to do something which is to be otherwise done by them only? Once the world believes that the only method of getting the best performance is by the way of the carrot, then you are giving birth to an ever hungry person. He will be progr...

Man Lives On Hope!

Man lives on hope! Another plane vanishes. We all have hopes. We all wish so much that the flight returns and the people aboard are found safe and sound. That is hope. We all live on hope.  Don't we hope for the best even in the worst possible scenario? When we know that there is even the faintest of chances for success, we hope for the best.  Man hopes that the deformed fetus that is struggling to survive lives. We hope the new year brings cheer and lots of happiness for your beloved. We visualize the coming season will be wonderful. We pray that the student sitting for exam has an easy answer paper. We hope the results will be good. We all hope that you get a good job with good salary. We pin our hopes that the slave gets his freedom. We hope that God listens to our prayers. The movie producer hopes his picture is a hit. The girl thinks she has the magic recipe for weight reduction. He hopes he will win the lottery this time.  Hope is a big word with four letters. It ha...

The Year In Review!

Now for the year in review!  Everyone during the course of the final week at the end of the year or the beginning of new year retrospect and review the year gone by. Some are good memories and some are terrible. Some we want to remember and some to forget.  We all do that because we want to find value in that year. The memories are daunting since they are very fresh. How does one find value in the memories? You look at the things that have brought about a good change and appreciate it and those which have shown us the downside we wish to erase and learn from those mistakes.  Some of the things we want to avoid are relatives or friends with whom we have fallen off. Some lovers whom we left behind. Some dreams which were destroyed during the course of the year. Some victories like the ones which provide you with enthusiasm or impetus to pursue further the given subject.  Some holidays and reunions are very touching and some draw our breath and dry our palates. Anger we...
